I am asking for your vote for the Long Beach City College Board of Trustees.  As a North Long Beach resident, I, like you, have a vested interest in the vitality of our community -- a goal that can only be achieved where board officials are first and foremost accountable to its students and surrounding community.

Tough times are upon us, and only through hard work and strategic planning will Long Beach City College continue to be a hallmark of the Southern California educational landscape. 

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, of which I obtained by starting out at the community college level.

As a 25-year veteran employee at El Camino College – currently as an accounting technician -- I possess the critical understanding of the budget crisis that all community colleges face across the state, and the importance of allocating our education funds in the most effective manner possible. But, this important task cannot be achieved without bringing all the negotiating parties to the table – a skill I have developed over the last nine years as President of the El Camino Classified Employees Union, including as a chief negotiator in bargaining and grievance matters.
